It’s You Again – GGP 15

Andrea Peterson and Zacahri Reynolds from the You Again web series join Zohner and Collin on location at Gweedo’s Comics in Layton, Utah to bring you a very special episode of The Generic Geek Podcast. And when we say “very special,” we aren’t kidding – we’re talking ABC Afterschool Special special. (Fun fact: Did you know that ABC Afterschool Special ran for 25 seasons?)

If you want to hear about everything from creating a web series to old-school gaming, with and without a Game Genie, to comic books to why geeks get upset over what superheroes wear, then this is the episode that you really don’t want to miss.  But wait! There’s more!

We also talk about Brewvies, a local theater in Salt Lake, getting in trouble for serving alcohol to people watching DeadpoolBatman v. Superman, the upcoming Spider-Man and Batman movies, dating geeks, and sportsball! (GO SPORTS!)

Also, if you like supporting new and original content, please be sure to visit the You Again Web Series Indiegogo page and help back these talented individuals. Making a web series is expensive, and these guys definitely could use and deserve your support. Be sure to also check them out on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

Special thanks to Gweedo’s Comics for letting us hang out in their room full of thousands and thousands of back issues. If you’re looking for something, they probably have it, but if they don’t, I’m sure they can get it for you.

You Again and GGP
Evidence that we weren’t in a closet. It was an actual room with comics and other stuff for sale…

Finally, a few programming notes… There was a technical glitch that caused about a minute of audio to disappear in the middle of the show. (You’ll know it when you hear it.) The comic series that Zohner is talking about when things return to normal is The Punisher (1986 series). Also, the last few minutes of the show start to become a bit PG-13 because inside, we’re all a bunch of 12-year-olds.
