Just a Kid in a Fat Kid’s Body – MMU 52

On this week’s episode Jake and Tracy are missing Val, but they have two special guests stepping in and trying to fill in for her. But those guests are Collin and Zach from Stolendroids Podcast, so they are poor substitutes for Val. But we’ll work with what we’ve got. The really good news is that we are discussing Jojo Rabbit, one of the best movies from 2019. And we all loved it.
We discuss the amazing performances from the child actors in the film, the amazing story in the film, the writing, the dialogue, and the struggle Taika Waititi had with making this film and playing the role of Adolf Hitler, sort of.
This film is more important today than ever. We talk about why it resonates with us so much, and why everyone should see it. Even if the whole premise seems strange- a young boy who’s imaginary friend is Hitler. But that’s not the message- and the message in this film is important. It will make you feel things.
What did you think of Jojo Rabbit? Let us know by sending your feedback to podcast@moviesthamakeus.com. If you haven’t seen Jojo Rabbit, go see it. If you have suggestions for a future episode, let us know. We would love to hear what you want to hear. Thanks for listening, and we won’t see you at the movies.
