Konami Anniversary Collections Releasing This Year
2019 marks Konami’s 50th anniversary and they are celebrating by releasing a series of bundles called the Anniversary Collections. The collections will include Konami classic arcade titles such as Castlevania and Contra.
The first collection to be released is Konami’s Arcade Classics. It contains Haunted Castle, Typhoon (A-Jax), Nemesis (Gradius), Vulcan Venture (Gradius 2), Life Force (Salamander), Thunder Cross, Scramble, and TwinBee. The collection hits shelves on April 18th. It’s going to set you back $20.
Next up is the Castlevania Anniversary Collection. At this point, we know that this collection will have a total of eight titles, but we don’t know what they all are yet. We also know that this particular collection is slated to be released in “early summer.”
The last of the collections announced is the Contra Anniversary Collection. This one is also scheduled to be released “early summer.” And like the other two collections being, we can expect eight titles in the collection although only four of them currently known.
Each of Konami’s Anniversary Collection bundles will be available via digital download on the Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam.
