The Secret World of Arrietty

Movies That Make Us Episode 153

Hi friends! This week, we are continuing our streak of feel-good movies with the 2010 Japanese Anime film The Secret World of Arrietty.

The film tells the story of a young Borrower befriending a human boy, while trying to avoid being detected by other humans. This is a nice film to follow our discussion on Marcel the Shell with Shoes On, in that it creates a miniature world full of whimsy and wonder.

What are your thoughts on the film? This film made over $145 million dollars and won the Animation Film of the Year in Japan and was created by Studio Ghibli.
