Who’s on This Poster for Star Wars: Episode IX?
An alleged poster for Star Wars: Episode IX hit Reddit yesterday on such subreddits as /r/StarWarsLeaks. As such, typical spoiler warning apply.
The poster is the fueling of a lot of commentary among fans even though there is no confirmation in regards to its validity. If it is real, the blurry image gives us a lot of questions that need answering. On the other hand, if it’s just a pile of steaming bantha fodder, then fans want answers now. But let’s assume as if the leaked image is real and start speculating.
There are a lot of noteworthy observations ranging from the potential Knights of Ren, C-3PO holding what could be Chewie’s bowcaster, a new TIE-Fighter, and even Rey’s new stellar outfit.
The poster highlights familiar faces and introduces some new ones; however, there is one that is not present. Where is the cute and cuddly Porg? Do we have a new sidekick to fill the movie’s “cute” quotient? In The Force Awakens, we were introduced to BB-8. Then in The Last Jedi, the Porg stole all of our hearts. Could Star Wars: Episode XI’s cute attempt be… this guy?
While this character may not be the future cute backpack at Walmart, the question has to be asked, who is this character and why does it have poster time while other prominent figures do not?
